Josh Madine is a composer, producer, musical director, arranger and performer based in London. His music career began at the age of 10, when he first appeared as a soloist with the acclaimed boy-choir Libera, performing on stage, screen and record alongside the likes of Aled Jones, José Carreras and Andrea Bocelli.
Today, Josh plays a central role in Libera’s creative output, working as a composer, producer and arranger on their studio projects, and pianist in their touring chamber orchestra. He is also a sought-after conductor and arranger, having received commissions from VOCES8, Brixton Chamber Orchestra, Inner Voices, Voce Chamber Choir and Grammy Award-winner, Angélique Kidjo. In 2023, he conducted the Call of Duty orchestra at The Troxy, performing his original arrangements of music from the video game series.
Additional professional credits include keyboard performance in West Side Story (Fairfield Halls) and Hairspray (Epsom Playhouse), production for jazz vocal ensembles, Vox and Standard Deviation, and production/backing vocals for pop royalty, Boy George. Josh writes and performs original material under his solo moniker, Almanac, and as one half of the folk/indie duo, Laurelai.
